Here is some info on the musicians for the Abbey Assembly 2:
|Jonathan Cohen is best known for his work with BBC schools programs, some details of which are referred to in this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Cohen_(musician). But he has also been involved in English Folk Dancing since his late teens when Pat Shaw persuaded him to play accordian for him at his weekly dances in Cecil Sharp House. He often plays with David Fleming-Williams and they have made several recordings. He is a brilliant pianist with an amazing feel for English Country Dance music, you really want to dance to his playing!|
|Mollie Koenigsberger has been playing fiddle for folk dance for over fifty years; she has been the core of many extremely successful dance bands such as Fat Harry. Although she is most often to be found playing for lively contra dancing, she is a consummate musician who can play for many styles of dance and we are lucky to have her in this trio of musicians.|
Jacqui Morgenstein (who is Jonathan's cousin) plays flutes and recorders; also krummhorn and harp if the tune is right. She is a dancer-turned-musician who has been playing with Orion's Ring for more than 8 years but who still loves to dance when she is not playing.
